Praise for SARAH'S SONG (picture book 4-8)

"Sarah's relationship with her grandma changes as Grandma ages and can no longer do some of their favorite activities. Sarah wants things to go back to the way they were, but of course that's not possible. In this kind and affectionate story, Sarah figures out how to tweak a family tradition to keep her connection with her grandma strong."

My mission statement: I am not living only to exist, but to add to the world in the unique way that only I can -- to fulfill my purpose, to serve, to create a ripple effect.

I believe that everyone should follow their dreams and passions as they are your calling.
Mine happens to be writing -- especially writing for children.
I also believe that stories have the power to impact a person's life and change the direction of one's future.
I know that when someone is at their most vulnerable, words are powerful enough to make or break that person's spirit
which inevitably affects his or her actions and the unfolding of his or her journey.
Sometimes, all you need is a good word. The right word to make you soar!

As I craft and share my stories, I hope kids will be touched by my words in some way, but more importantly, I want to inspire them
to dream big and work hard on their dreams!

I had a tough childhood, a rough road to publication, and no moral support for the most part. I've encountered many naysayers over the years,  listened to many mockers, and almost gave up many times. Yet, despite numerous detours and failures, I persevered because
next to being a mom, nothing else felt as right or fulfilling as the way crafting my stories did.

I am still working on my dream every day.

Please look around and find out more about me, my books, and my work. Thanks for visiting!

Did you know?
Cuddling, affection, and physical contact are directly related to the size and health of a child's brain. Cuddles also play a role in kids' intelligence, social skills and confidence later in life.
Reading together is one of the best ways to snuggle, cuddle, and show some TLC at bedtime.
Here's a picture book about motherly love, safety and security that will prompt some major hugs! IF I WEREN'T WITH YOU

Reader's Favorite gave it 5 stars and said: "I am sure that this book                                                                                                                                          will become one of your child's favorite stories." Read the full review here.

"From the moment of opening this book, one is transported to a beautiful forest to witness the loving relationship between a mother bear and her cub. Their dialogue of questions and answers, along with beautifully written similes, makes for a wondrous gift and a lovely picture book to read over and over…and to keep and pass down to the next generation." --TeachCA
